Award Winning Restaurant
After a long day of meandering or conferencing, unwind in front of an open fire in the bar or on the patio while watching Reedbuck and Duiker frolic on the open lawns. The bar was used in the first Spud movie as John Cleese’s office.
Then move into our restaurant where the Table d’hote menus are drawn up daily by our head chef, Vusi Mkhwanazi. It is seldom that one gets the opportunity these days to relax, slow down and enjoy special company, while enjoying a 5 course dinner. Through redesigning the menu daily, Vusi can ensure the freshest and best quality produce from around the Midlands.
The setting of the restaurant is as varied as the cuisine Vusi offers. The restaurant staff will often take the restaurant outside where dinner can be enjoyed under an ancient oak tree and the twinkling stars of the night sky. The restaurant is always open to guests staying at Lythwood Lodge. Non-residents are welcome to come and enjoy Vusi’s great fare but bookings are essential.

A one-night stay. My self and my husband spent a day/night stay over at Lythwood Lodge. Attentive staff from the moment we arrived with a warm face cloth to wipe ones hands off and a welcome drink, to showing you where the Dining Area, Lounge, Bar was and advising times for dinner and breakfast and then being shown to your room. Lovely huge room with your own separate lounge with a fire place and TV and tea, coffee on the tray and homemade crunchies, complimentary sherry and fruit. Doors opening out onto your own private patio. Spacious and comfortable bedroom with shower and... read more bath. Lovely grounds to relax or take a stroll. Great facility for weddings and conferences as well. read less
DianevanVuuren29/10/2018Quick family get away We were blown away by the hospitality and attention to detail at Lythwood. Great jungle gym for kids as well as a pool. Fantastic refurbed accommodation and spotless. Nothing was too much to ask for them and the details did not go amiss. Thank you for a whole litre of milk in the fridge for coffee instead of the usual 3 triangular efforts you usually get! The turned down sheets and truffles quietly left on the table for us made it all feel very welcoming. We’ll definitely be coming back thank you

Cheryl Guthrie01/09/2018Wow. What an amazing property. Absolutely beautiful. Setting foot in Lythwood Lodge, you feel at home, such a well kept place. Amazing staff that will go to the ends of the earth to help you. Chalets are very modern with a cottage feel. It's a great centre point to explore the Midlands and surroundings.
